Read that fallout3 supports xbox 360 controllers so I got one from cash converters but it doesn't work... guess I'll have to save up for xbox one controller....
Is the controller faulty or is it a compatibility problem?
I used to use Better DS3 to connect a ps3 remote. I think MotioninJoy has compatible xbox drivers.

I believe it has to do with usb port compatibility. I have decided to go for a xbox one controller as soon as I can sell some stuff to to get the cash.

Yeah that would be much better. Steam has great drivers for controllers

Depends on the game. Some stuff KB&M other stuff game pad.

Like GTA while on foot KB&M when I get into a vehicle i use the gamepad.
I cant shoot with gamepad, and I cant fly with a mouse and keyboard

Havent used my joystick since I got the gamepad.

I have been a PC gamer for around 15 years, and a console gamer all my life. I use a controller for everything, apart from Strategy like SC2, MOBA, and games like XCOM and Divinity.

Controller for all fps games as well. I couldn't survive without a controller on PC quite honestly. I use SteamLink so I play the vast majority of my PC games on the TV from the couch. I just get lazier as the years go on really.

I used to always play PC with a KB&M and when I got a console it was really strange, fast forward 15 years later I'm back to playing on a PC and it was really strange to say the least. However, it's like riding a bicycle, got it kind of quick and now I'm loving Overwatch on PC, also loving it on console, both are great but different.

If I had to say which was better, I'd say Overwatch with a K&M on PC is a whole different ball game, much much better but thats not to say it's not really fun on Console, it's a level up on PC.
