Work stats on my new pool next week. Closing up my old pool and building a new pool closer to the house.
All the best I had mine relined and it was a complete nightmare from day 1

Pool company was probably owned by someone you once banned

Thought I’ll close the loop because I got some good advice and ideas here. Old pool is gone. New pool is in. Turned out amazing. Went with 4 panel solar and no heat pump (heat pump is definitely not needed for my use case). Our new pool is small and gets a lot of sun. I also bought an Aquanet - such a great investment. The net alone does a great job of keeping the heat in the water. My pool has not dropped below 29 degrees since it’s been in (about 3 weeks now). It actually gets too hot with the solar on (like 32 degrees) so I use it pretty sparingly.
