Takealot has really gone the drain ito their service and competitive pricing.

Screw 'em. Just use their site for reviews when I do research

That's just like, your opinion, man.

There’s a store called Gadget Time in both Canal Walk and Tygervalley whose entire inventory is knockoff products parading as the real thing. The centre management doesn’t care.

Fakery for own flesh and blood? Your own kin? I'll never subject my 6-year-old nephew to that, it stunts their gaming skillz I think. Lol.

Hopefully he's the younger brother. We all know that younger siblings get the third party controller.

Takealot on behalf of sales are fine as well but the problem is they leave the diligence up to the customer instead of vetting their sellers properly.

Many of them are solid shops existing in their own right that can’t get the online traction and use TA to get their product out.
Unfortunately I live somewhere between nowhere and the void. So I get charged a delivery fee from most retailers. Anyway, I've had too many issues with Takealot in the past to ever trust them again. I've had several orders from them that ended up being late with no explanation given, a number of packages arriving damaged, payments taking forever to reflect on their end, I've even had instances in the past where I've received goods from them which were clearly secondhand and orders that were missing some stuff. After a while the issues I was having with them just kept piling up, so I decided to ditch them. Them allowing other people to sell stuff through their website was definitely the final straw. That's what sites like ebay, bidorbuy, and olx are for. I've been using both Raru and Loot for a couple of years now, and have never had any issues with either of them. (Aside from Loot's poor quality packaging. But I only use Loot as a backup for when Raru doesn't have what I'm looking for.)

Since I like to go make friends with Pakistani shops they always give me a good price for things. So I got a PS4 knockoff control for R300 and have not had a single problem with it... To my supprise the damn touchpad even worked...thought it was just there not to be used.
