    Hey people,

    who can i go to in durban to get some repairs done to my iMac ?

    won't switch on, never worked on apple products so don't want to DIY it

    Stupid question to start with...have you checked the power cord and tried another?

    Can't help in Durban but in Cape Town these are the best guys, so maybe they can direct you to someone.

    Yeah I would avoid them like the plague.

    Honestly any random oke off gumtree would be a better bet.

    If you were in Cape Town I would have happily taken a look for you.

    You didn't say which model exactly then I could have pointed you to an iFixit guide, but the thing is if it's the AC inlet especially it's not a job for the faint hearted. Power Supply not too bad but it's still a serious job to get the screen out nicely on most of the newer ones.

    If it's an old white one it's actually pretty simple.
