To me this is just fantastic value. For R85 i get to play some of the latest indie games that would have cost me way more if purchased separately on other platforms.

Started Tangle Tower which i’m really enjoying - kind if Layton-esque puzzle-deduction game. Jenny le Clue and Grindstone are next.

Not on my iPhone XR or only Apple TV. Just gets stuck at the same screen.

Card of Darkness is finally working for me on the Apple TV and it’s actually a very clever game.

Reels you in with what appears to be simple concepts but then goes full on RPG very quickly and becomes quite challenging.

Works well with the Siri remote too, which makes it a nice easy access time burner.

Yeah was about to say I only installed it on ATV this morning.

You know what, it’s actually so refreshing to play games where micro transactions aren’t built into the core elements of the game to push you to pay for them as an easy out.

The entire progression mechanic changes and that’s why it actually feels like you are going through the games too fast because you’re so used to grinding for bull**** with mobile.

Chu Chu Rocket would have done well to provide some sort of indication that the background of the main screen is in fact a menu.

Here I assumed it was an online only game because the only conceivable menu takes you to matchmaking.

Well, I’ve cancelled my subscription.

Not because there is anything wrong with the games or the price or the selection available but because the multi-user implementation on the Apple TV is the most broken, useless, may as well not have bothered implementation I have ever seen.

Essentially all the multi-user part does it allow you to switch between accounts for purchases.

Everything game related is still linked to one single Game Center ID which means only that person can use the cross-device start on one and continue on the Apple TV feature and your save games are basically a free for all.

So I’ll rather spend my money elsewhere as a large part of this service offering is lost to me due to badly thought out implementation.

It’s actually ridiculous if you think these systems all run on a version of BSD which is the king of multi user environments.

Signed up for the trial yesterday, cancelled it yesterday. I like the fact that it works with my DS4, but the library was generally at the "My First Video-Game" level. I'd rather spend my time playing more rewarding titles.

For now I’m in this boat, will obviously monitor what games get released but currently they’re not worth it over proper console and pc games. Lets hope something worth it launches.

Must say I’m very happy to be back on iOS, was an iPhone man for 8 years, then got a galaxy S10e earlier this year. Got an iPhone 11 now and will never go Android again.

I think the real value lies in having multiple devices and more so multiple people sharing the service, much like Netflix.

Which is why I’m so irritated by the utter fail of the Apple TV.
