Considering the types of plastics used in controllers, i'd bet on a crack.
Not sure this whole thing is going to work, in order to create pressure to change the viscosity they are going to "retract" the sticks. Not sure how gamers will like their sticks moving just as a critical moment happens.
I'm always up for something new so i'll give it a bash if it happens.
