xbox has it for ages and i almost never went back to old gen games.
( my kids play a few 360 kiddy games- thats about it)

a remaster maybe more worth focusing on

anyway i wonder what a brand new game will cost next year for next gen?
I dunno hey. With the x boosting stuff to amazing levels I love going back to either play old games I never played or hitting some of my favourites again.

I want to know why Sony decided to build in backwards compatibility as not one PS gamer ever asked for it. In fact, PSers were always the ones saying it is a waste and nobody ever uses it. Strange indeed!

From my understanding the PS4 could never be bc for the PS3 due to difference in architecture. But the PS5 is rather simple to implement.

As long as there is backwards compatibility to the ps4, without spending extra money, then I am a happy chappy.

Otherwise, I'm keeping the PS4 for longer and will wait and see when the dust settles on the release of the PS5

At this point I have a backlog on new games, why would I also want a backlog of old games?

There is nothing to build in, it’s automatically there.

Which means if they don’t do it they are simply taking the piss to grab more money.

PS4 was the first Sony console not to be backwards compatible with its predecessor.
