There are. Here's the deaths per 1 million population (table ordered by this stat), cases per 1 million population and tests per 1 million population.

Went and checked that hy deaths/1m, like I said, everyone has done a bad job.

Anyway, personally don't trust these stats, specially our stats. Infections are definitely higher, and deaths from breaking a toe probably allocated to Covid.

I don't trust those stats either, our rate is much higher.

I take our house, my wife was positive and is included in the stats, my daughter lost her sense of taste and had flu symptoms but was never tested and does not form part of those stats. I had very little symptoms but suspect that I had it too.

My other daughter tested positive two days ago, her boyfriend is fine and not tested but most probably have it.

So I think that our infection rate is at least double the official figures. I won't be surprised if it is five times more.

As for vaccines and getting vaccinated, I read that if the USA vaccinate at their current rate then it is going to take 10 years to get to the 80% vaccination mark.

They're averaging of 161,820 shots per day. A person needs 2 shots, administered a month apart.

So 656 400 000 shots for everyone in the US to be vaccinated at the above rate would mean it takes 11,2 years for everyone to be fully vaccinated.

Israel is also doing 150000 shots a day, but they're only about 9.2 million so that's about 4 months for everyone to be vaccinated.

On another note, the Oxford/Astra Zeneca vaccine has been approved in the UK. $4 a dose and only needs regular fridges instead of -20c (Moderna) or -70C (Pfizer) storage. The results are less clear though, 70% efficacy but some anomalies in the data.

How many people die from tb every year here?

I researched something like this on the 27th when some vocal lady on our local FB group kept posting nonsense.

This was my response :

TB, HIV, Diabetes, Influenza and Pneumonia were the reported cause for 94290 deaths in 2017 in SA - roughly 1814 per week on average.

Compare this number (from 5 diseases) to the past 7 days, where almost 2000 people died from COVID-19 in SA.

This is serious if you look at the data and not at fake news and conspiracy theories downplaying the severity of this pandemic.

The picture is even worse now, with the last 7 days of results reporting 2376 COVID deaths.

Obviously some Flu/TB/Pneumonia deaths are now erroneously being grouped with COVID deaths, but it's still a pretty grim picture.
