That's one perspective, and I do agree. Another is that maybe they're creating unnecessary work for themselves, and should be focusing efforts on things that effectively matter.

This is a big part of SA's problem, everyone thinking they have the right to decide what rules and regulations should and should not apply to them. People complain about lawlessness without realising their own contribution to the status quo.

Watching Sky news covering the virus in the UK and half the people filmed were not wearing masks. It's clearly not just an SA problem.

Tbh I think the people of south Africa have earned to right to decide what rules applies to them, it's very difficult to take the government seriously with anything.

That said I do think people could do with a touch of common sense, you don't have to follow the silly rules but don't dumb **** on top of it.

Yup the cop was doing he's job and the surfer dude or what ever they called was giving the cop **** sadly you find a lot of idiots like that around the world and it's people like those that makes things worse for everyone.

Surfing is not banned though. Cop overstepped his boundaries. South Africans don’t toe the line like nations where their governments actually give a ****. Here you will die if you waited for anc handouts.
