Absolute madness. I'm rocking a GTX 1080 I paid like 5k for 2nd hand, playing everything maxed or very near at 60fps (not you flight Sim!) at 1440p, and wonder what the hell would spending that money get me?

I get wanting the best and if you got oodles of cash to burn cool. But even as a hardened PC gamer I think its mad to pay that much for a graphics card. Heck the last card I bought new was a 5k gtx970. Even 12k for a console is seriously pushing it for me.

If I won the lotto I would NV link 2 immediately though.

NVIDIA Allegedly Moving Ampere to 7nm TSMC in 2021
It has also been reported that NVIDIA’s previous annual masterpiece RTX 30 series uses Samsung Electronics’ 8nm process at a considerable OEM discount, but will switch to TSMC’s 7nm process in 2021. The order volume is not less. The reason for NVIDIA's transfer of orders is that TSMC's 7nm offer is relatively close to the people, and the other is that it has previously planned to diversify risks to deal with Samsung's 8nm yield problem. The NVIDIA 7nm large order is also one of TSMC's important customers to maintain high-end 7nm capacity utilization in 2021.

Too lazy to make an AMD thread now. But there are leaks for their GPU line-up!

Nice memory specs. What frame rate does it get with ray tracing on at 4k with its DLSS equivalent in Control?

Since everybody and their grandmother are guessing on Twitter and Youtube, these are my guesses :

    - 6900XT will match the RTX3080 at 4K but will win by 5% at 1440p as Ampere's FP32 advantage is only fully realized at 4K.
    Draws 320w like the 3080.
    Priced at $699

    - 6800XT was the card teased in AMD's Ryzen conference. It will match the 3080 in a handful of games at 4K but will be 5% slower than the 3080 across resolutions.
    Draws 280w
    Priced at $599

    - 6800 will fall between the 3070 and 3080 performance-wise.
    Draws 220w.
    Priced at $499

    Regarding Raytracing :
The 6800 will match the 2080Ti when doing Raytracing,
The 6800XT will be 10% faster than the 3070 when doing Raytracing.
The 6900XT will match the 3080 when doing Raytracing at native 1440p but will be 5% slower at native 4K.

No "true" DLSS equivalent, they will push FidelityFX Contrast Adaptive Sharpening (CAS) as seen in Death Stranding and F1 2020.

It would be really great if that was true. AMD has been lagging behind for too long.
Last card I had from them was a HD 6950. Maybe time for another 69xx from AMD?
