I know that price can change at anytime but just gonna throw it out there ...the price slider on the 3080 page can give you an idea of the price of the 3080 cards.

    Palit 3080 17999
everything else bracketed between 19500-20000. I guess we have 1 cards price then. R3k more than what I would want to pay as a top bracket. Still wanted to see them for between 13.5k and 15k.

From my Wootware email this morning :
At this time we do not have any indication of pricing or the arrival date of the RTX 3000 series Graphics Cards.
These cards are not available from Nvidia yet. They have set their launch date to the 17th of September.

We will have pricing and possibly an ETA within the days that follow.
It will likely take a few weeks up to a couple of months before any stock reaches the South African market.

We will list pre-order pricing as soon as we can confirm a shipment from one of our partners.

Yeah wootware has the correct approach to the launch to only varify when stock is actually available. Doesn't create false expectations but it still sucks that we have no stable launch window or pricing for SA.

As a 2080ti owner I actually shouldn't care because I can pretty much run anything and everything but the idea of a faster card is always nice. That said though a 3080 that might only be 30-40% faster at best is also something to keep in mind.

I know I saw the leaked Farcry 5 benchmark that pretty much has no difference between it, a 2080ti, a 1080ti even a 1080 but that is the game engine that just caps out somewhere. The game I play the most is Guild Wars 2 and for years its never needed more than a 680 ...heck even ran perfect (or indifferent) on a i5 with 750ti.

Cool new stuff is cool new stuff, especially if you can comfortably afford it.

This card is so amazing. If you can get a Zotac or Palit for R18k it's such a bargain.
