I'm keen to see the AMD launch and benches. Fact is, these are great cards.

I'm currently running a 1070 so an upgrade is necessary and a 3070 is likely to be exactly what I need.

What about AMD not delivering either? Atleast its not Nintendo that can get away with selling a slice of moldy toast.

But this man knows where its at:

Does anyone have an old Voodoo 2 card by any chance? I want to buy it and mount it on my wall.

Kinda forgot about this. Reason to actually move to the 3000 series.

@StarBound Hardware unboxed have a 980ti in their benchmarks. Funny to see how far ahead the 3080 is

I'm really tempted by 3080 but I am also concerned how long that 10gb vram is going to be viable for for 4k gaming. Some games are already getting close to eating up that vram allocation.

There were some rumors among YouTubers that partner cards may have up to 16 or 20gb but those seems to have died off quickly.

Now the 3090 would ease my concerns with its 24gb but, honestly, I do not know where this card is supposed to fit in. Is it a Titan replacement, in which case we can probably expect a 3080ti announcement a little down the line once AMD RDNA2 have been unveiled, or is the 3090 this generation's ti, in which case Nvidia still has to unveil the 3000Titan?

I just really do not want to pick up a 3080, nor a 3090, and 2 months later out pops a 3080ti with more vram than 3080, and "almost 3090 performance" at a much lower cost.

I was in that position with the 10 series, picking up a 1080 and not long after the far superior 1080ti was announced.

    What do you guys think?

Yea, that's a good drop in temps. Overclocks well too.

Upto 6% faster, 15'C cooler. Pretty decent really. It's MSRP too.
