I think the PS 5 might be the last PS with Disk Version?

Digital for me, but at this point, i will buy what ever i can get my hands on (at a reasonable price of-course)

The price difference is not a problem, but i rarely buy new games, and 99% of the time i will only buy PSN specials.
Main reason i want the digital version is because its symmetrical. Not a fan of the protruding bump for the disc drive.

I bought Demon's Souls second hand on this forum for R900 even before I had my PS5. I finished it last night and already sold it for R800.

So my choice of disk-based is so far completely justified.

I prefer disk because I like keeping copies of the games, for my collection.

I just wish they would release bigger storage space like 2 or 4TB

True dat. Plus digital games often go on deep sale. But the real deal clincher for me? Game sharing. That has allowed me to play pretty much every release I want, at half price.

I don't like the idea of not owning something I've paid for, especially gaming software, this new rental model that MS has is good and it has a place, except with collectors, but reselling a game for close to what you paid for it after experiencing the novelty or excitement thereof, also makes sense...it's a way of subsidising an expensive hobby, on the flip side, digital prevents clutter, if only the SSD's/NvMe's were at a palatable price point

Honestly I see merits with both.

Game sharing and convenience is more important to me than saving money and the hassle of buying/trading.
Final Fantasy 15 was disappointing. Hype failed me. I am Squirtbird.

He can. For another ~R100 if he buys and sells a 2nd hand copy again.
Or he can buy the digital version if he really wants to keep it "forever".
He has options. R2k premium for those options but it is there.

I bought a disc version because I value those options.
My one friend bought a disc version because he couldn't find a digital version and he has been happily playing his digital games.
Another friend of mine wanted a digital version and is still waiting for one.
