Xbox one or Xbox S: Advice needed

Hi Everyone

My sister wants to buy my nephew a Xbox as that is what he wants. She knows nothing about this and has asked me to help.
I also know nothing about Xbox.

I see the Xbox S and X was released recently and The Xbox one back in 2013.
My sister cannot afford the Xbox X, therefore its between the Xbox S or X box one

I was going to look for a 2nd hand Xbox one with games or a new X Box S (unless I find 2nd hand).

Which console would you get? My biggest fear is we get the Xbox one and then they stop developing games for it.

Series S should be the only console considered for budget constraints.
you could find one for 6k.

older gen stuff though cheaper won't do for future titles. Unless nephew will be playing those only.

She could get the Xbox series S, understand though you will need a subscription to game pass as the console is digital only, which can be had cheaply with a workaround, the Xbox one S is nice that it has a disc drive, games can be had cheaply and second hand, those must be the main considerations, but in my opinion, get a Series S, must have uncapped internet ideally, check Avo online, decent price at R6199, hope this helps
