Default Covid 19 Vaccine - Yes or No?

Poll is up. Me personally, I am definitely not against the Vaccine, but would like to see how countries like Israel look in a couple of months and then make a decision from there. I don't think the general public in SA would see a vaccine before Q1 2022 anyways.

Also important that not all vaccines are the same so need to do more research on that front.

Edit: and here I am August 2021 fully vaccinated

Not seeing the poll but as a person with a background in Virology, the science is sound and I wholeheartedly support camp vaccination.

The thing is even not being in the risk group, yes, the disease has a high survivability rate but the number of young healthy people in our personal circle that caught it in the first wave and got knocked for an absolute six in terms of still struggling with long-Covid is alarming. A family of four (work colleague) caught it, the two young kids had stomach upset, the wife had a headache and that's it while the husband spent four weeks on a ventilator. An uncle who in his 60s but was a marathon runner, wealthy healthy guy caught it on the golf course down at the Coast this Dec on the Wed, Sunday night he was dead in the hospital. There are just too many risks in not getting vaccinated.

I’ll take the vaccine when my turn comes, but I am glad that millions of others would have had it for probably a year before me lol.

I'll take it when my turn/chance comes.

The anti-vaxxers (of which I've seen a large volume of them in SA) are so against it.
