Default PSP Store Closes Tomorrow (02/07/2021)

The PSP store is scheduled to close tomorrow.

Another forum member (Juda01) has told me that the local store is already inaccessible.
It's worth trying it out *if* there's something you still want digitally, specifically is it's PSP only.

While we're at it, what were you favourite games on PSP?

I loved JRPGs and SRPGs, but also racing games like Ridge Race and Wipeout.

    Other faves:

    Disgaea
    FFT
    Valkyrie Profile
    Syphon Filter
    The GoW games

DBZ Shin Budokai, NFS Prostreet, FIFA 10, Assassins Creed Bloodlines.

Loved playing on it in the car while travelling on holiday or at breaks at school.

Looking back at the specs now, its insane how good the games were on a portable with a 333MHz CPU, 64Mb of ram, 2Mb of VRAM and a 480x272 display.

The PSP was a PS2 in portable format which was something the PSVita never was to the PS3.

At least you should be able to get psp games via the vita storefront.

Yeah, I was under the impression that some PSP games were only purchasable from a PSP itself. I gave that a try yesterday but I couldn't find some of those games (like Ape Quest) which were meant to be removed.

This is very true. We had proper games and loads of dev support for the PSP. It was a technical marvel.

    Here is my collection:

I was busy sorting out my gaming cupboard today and going through my PSP and 3DS games and just checked price charting and WOW have some PSP games have gone up in price like something crazy!

    I have Persona 3 Portable(Collectors Edition) and it's sitting at $208 for CIB, New it's $390. WTF?
Most of my PSP collection is worth more now than what I paid for them back in the day? Mostly JRPG's.

I think if I missed out on games I shouldnt try to go back. I have a lot of GOG games and those demos I played in the late 90s early 00s were nice at the time. But now they starting to show how outdated they are beyond the visuals.

Also I cant find my modded vita. How and where I misplaced it I don't know.

That may be true for PC indeed but handhelds are still great even some PSP games are still lookers for their age and the tech they were on, that handheld just rocked along with the Vita afterwards, love mine, have two OLED one's been trying to get that blue color one as well.
I'm in that space now where most/all of new games annoy me to no end, they are just more of the same and to long and gets boring.
Been going to back to my hand helds and enoying them again.
