    You can confirm that also by looking at the join dates of members posting in this thread and see that Take2 was going strong at that time and Raru only launched in 2014.

    Also for instance Koodoo is owned by Gamefinity who are the distributors of Playstation in South Africa and were one of the first to cut advertising in general. There's very little appetite for that kind of advertising due to Ad Blockers and the digitisation of games.

    Yup - we also had a thing where clans could sponsor the site for a month etc.
    Not sure it's the same these days though.
