Gamespot gave it 8/10 as well:

Enslaved is an affecting adventure that makes strong use of its characters and story to create a believable world.

    The Good
Sympathetic characters and well-crafted cutscenes | A wide variety of beautiful locations | Smooth combat that is brutally satisfying | Boss fights, chase scenes, and puzzles offer good variety.

    The Bad
Touchy movement controls | Camera is too zoomed in at times.

Joystiq gave it 4.5 stars out of 5.

This is a beacon, a fine reminder that if you have talented people and a little respect for your audience, great storytelling in games can be not only possible but profound.

6 days guys, 6 DAYS! I've prepared an "Enslaved" evening for myself, sad, but true. This involves various snacks with no interruptions in gameplay.

Oooh thanks for the reminder. I need to pre-order. Last I recall, there weren't any pre-order bonuses were they?

Edit: Here's another review from Arstechnica - http://arstechnica.com/gaming/review...chnically.ars/

Are btgames the only shop in SA that offers a pre-order bonus?

    What is the bonus exactly?

I ordered from Kalahari and they don't list any pre-order bonuses. Take2 doesn't seem to have any either.

    This:
Pre-order to receive the Ninja monkey DLC: Gives the player unlimited staff blast ammo. Monkey's staff can be used to fire either plasmas bolts or stun blasts to help him take out his enemies, but these are normally a rare and precious commodity OR, With the Ninja Monkey skin, Monkey can enjoy the freedom to blast his way through the game with unlimited ammo.

Unlimited ammo - would that take away a bit of the challenge?

We don't know how powerful Monkey's staff blast is so maybe it only helps a bit?
