I think if you use a well-known brand you will be good. Also, I personally would ensure it comes with a heatsink. So look at...

I've got my eyes on this for Black Friday this year (it was £149 during July Prime Day): 2TB with Heat sink: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Crucial-Internal-Heatsink-Compatible-PlayStation/dp/B0CK2RKPBL
Also look at Amazon US and Amazon DE, might be cheaper shipping to SA assuming you're based there.

Write is a bit slow?
200Mb/s slower is hardly anything when you're already at 6800Mb/s.
You wouldn't even feel it on a PC, let alone a PS5 that Digital Foundry tested to work just fine in games with a PCIe 4.0 NVME that only has speeds of 3200Mb/s read and 1000Mb/s write.
Sure, but the price here is identical for both so I'd go for the faster one
Your drive is currently R3722 plus customs, and any problems mean dealing with shipping back overseas.
Vs
R3k all inclusive with local warranty.
It's a no brainer for a South African. The less we have to deal with international shipping the better.
