Got a PC and PS5 and just bought a used Logitech G29.

What driving games do you recommend? I'll probably like off road more than track but open to both.

Already found out from another thread that GTA V doesn't really support a steering wheel well.

Any Carmageddon style driving games?

EA's WRC or Dirt Rally 2.0 are worth looking into. I played a lot of Dirt on a FFB wheel and loved it!
GT7 is an obvious choice for PS5. There are some off-road cars and tracks but I think it is still more road racing - but it's damn good at that!
 
Forza Horizon 4 or 5 on PC for that open world + off roading.
Assetto Corsa Competizione on PC if you want that "real feel".

EA WRC on PS5. The shader stutter on PC is insanely bad.
GT7 always a winner.
 
Forza Horizon with a wheel is not great. Way too arcadey for that. I couldn't find settings that made using a wheel fun.
 
Gran Turismo 7 is your only option for a more serous racing game. But your asking for a Carmageddon style game, which probably means its not your jam.

Maybe Something like Wreck Fest or Gas Guzzler Extreme I haven't played any of them but that seems to be more Carmageddon style. Maybe just double check if they support steering wheels.

Could mess around with BeamNG.drive if you're after a car crashing simulator, though do be careful not to hold the wheel during accidents. A G29 isn't extremely strong but you could still sprain your wrist!

I got it and I love it!
It's amazing and not exactly Carmageddon, it's more "Mad Max" with an open world.
I still highly recommend it, even though it's just in early access, it's already really good and worth the money.
