XBOX Q&A

I’ll go first. Having both the PS5 and XBOX I’ve noticed that the XBOX analog sticks feel a lot ‘looser’ in hand. This has created all sorts of issues with me being an ageing gamer.

I find that I’m adjusting sensitivity all the way down and spending hours in trying to find a compromise just to render a game playable.

Even then things are way too sensitive and cross platform games simply don’t have the same feeling on the XBOX.

My aiming in FPS is all over the place when I’m on the XBOX compared to the PS5. I’ve checked all over the net for a solution and tried different controllers and on different consoles so I’m certain it’s an XBOX thing.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Personally I like the feel of the default Series controller, but if you want fine control over it, get this:

So to summarize, the thumb sticks on XB controller feel too loose which is affecting your accuracy compared to the PS controller that feels stiffer?

Apart from the Xbox Elite Series 2 where you can adjust the thumb stick tension, the only other thing I think you can try are some sponge precision rings.

Think this may be a more feasible solution in the short term. If this doesn’t then I’ll try to borrow an elite before diving in.

Good day mense, not sure if this is th correct thread but i am looking @getting a new Battery Pack & Cable for my XB1 controller.

Currently, Loot.co.za has th cheapest option (R543 with free delivery) but i have read many reviews giving poor service & not to order from them. Outside of TakeAlot (R699) who else is a good supplier for this item??

I prefer loot over takealot, but their delivery times can be a bit longer in certain cases, their service overall is good

Damn Americans and their removable battery bs.

If you wait a bit, there are some R150 vouchers that float about from time to time which would get the TA price in the same range as loot. My bro actually picked his up from Incredible earlier in the year at a lower price.

I'm using a set of 2800mah rechargeable lithium batteries on my controllers which last forever. I bought a set of 4 for the same price as the charge kit and just swap them when they die.

Well this makes it non-removable in a way so this is exactly for people like you who don't like changing batteries and prefer being tethered to wires instead.

I do reckon it lasts a bit longer than the NiMH rechargeable batteries, but then when they do die it's annoying as you now need to charge the thing...so only makes sense if you have a second controller or if you are very good about remembering to plug it in when it's low.

Personally I much prefer being able to just swop batteries.

Nope. Dump ps controller on dock after a session and it’s charged to go the next day. EZ

Got a generic version for my kids Xbox controllers and that works well for them but I don’t trust the batteries on that kit for mine.

The ones I use lasts me a long long time between swapping but I’d prefer not to have to even worry about that.

Another option is try the ones triggercraft.co.za has. I've used them plent of times and I think I even mentioned them on the old forum. They are the importers of a number of brands and their other name is Apex interactive. Found this one for the series controller, though they do also have for the XB1 as well.

Similar mechanism to the one I got for my kids, except it charges wirelessly on a dock for them.

I got this one but paid half the price from a different supplier when I got my XSX.
