Disclaimer: I haven't played any of the previous AC installments.

With that out of the way, this game looks 'sick'! Been watching a few streamers that have been playing about 5 hours or so. My DualSense Edge is gonna love this game!

Release date: 25 August 2023.
 
Only interested in this cos of From, but I'll still wait to hear back from other AC noobs before getting it
 
I played an Armored Core way back in the day, think it was on the PS1. I liked the general premise, but as was my impression of FromSoftware games in general back then, I found it janky. I think I was also playing it in Japanese, adding an additional layer of inscrutability.

Though of course now with the big success that is the Souls games, I'm looking forward to seeing what they end up doing with this. I watched a preview in which they likened the combat to Sekiro - which is very exciting to me being that Sekiro is, to date, my favourite From game.
