Looks like scalpers are at it again. I haven't looked but is the console even available in SA? It looks really nice

 
If people are stupid enough to pay that money for a 30th anniversary console then we might as well do the same for local units. Probably the only way I can justify buying a pro :P

Is SA even getting any allocation of these?

Scalpers will always be a thing, sucks. One store here let everyone register for a lottery and that’s how they will select who can buy. Seems like an okay way to do it. Another chain only opened those sales to their level 5 members. Who are probably scalpers lol.

For some reason scalpers seem to be a bigger problem this gen than any previous gen. There is word that we will get an allocation so I am hopeful. I still have my 20th anniversary DS4 so I'll probably dip for the DS5.

I've said it somewhere before but I really think that they should've just made the PS5 Pro in the anniversary theme and sold the plates for the regular consoles bundled with controllers so that more people could celebrate. I reckon that's also a more profitable strategy.

Holy hell, 5500 Euro for a console? Essentially R105k for an Anniversary Pro.

I mean, sure, people are free to blow their money as they see fit, and I get that this is an anniversary bundle, but the value is definitely not commensurate to the money you're forking over.

But I shouldn't be surprised I suppose, people spend more than this on OnlyFans subscriptions when the Hub is completely free 🤷‍♂️
 
i was so fortunate to get s 20th anniversary ps4 of the forum way back when and instead of pickling it, i used the hell out of it, ah its proper tired now so im getting my hands on the ps5 30th slim, sadly the pro is out of reach.
 
I don't think we're getting the anniversary edition pro so you've chosen wisely. The OG colours do make the console look far more appealing. What's funny about the regular pro is that the scalpers who bought those are struggling to sell them because there's no stock shortage compared to the regular PS5 which in itself was mainly due to covid.
