Crypto is dead, bro

Layman question:

By my rudimentary understanding, If crypto currency (BTC) is generated though computers/processors and chips solving complex mathematical puzzles, which are then checked, confirmed and added to a chain, generating bitcoin, with the next more complex puzzle needing to be solved to generate the next bitcoin, does it not stand to reason that it is in effect nothing but a bubble that will burst as soon as quantum computing is used for it. Since quantum computing is literally computing on near infinite parallels simultaneously.

AFAIK quantum computing is an entirely different thing from traditional computing, but either way crypto is all nonsense
