Maybe he’s picking up trash people drop as they walk by, or he’s hoping to preempt weeds taking root?

Edit: Just Googled it, apparently it’s a thing, they even sell purpose made vacuum cleaners.

Apparently not only does it clear trash and debris, it improves grass growth by loosening the soil to improve drainage and makes the grass greener by encouraging germination and maximising sun exposure.

I tripped while pacing to and fro in our garden yesterday evening when my dipping foot caught in the gap between two paving stones. Front section of my right foot took the brunt of the impact. Needless to say, I'll have to be especially idle until the foot has healed.

Walking more easily now. Only the toes still feel uncomfortable. Still going to prefer paddling in the swimming pool as opposed to walking until I feel up to it.

BMW indicated to me that my brakes needed changing.
BMW : R8,500 (front and back)
Hi-Q: R3,400 (front brakes only, they can't do electronic back brakes)
Graaff Brakes: R3,500 (front and back)

Graaff Brakes (Vredenburg) only have 3 staff members and they all worked on the vehicle. Everyone introduced themselves to me and 2 of them told me when they moved here etc. Very friendly and efficient service. Always support small local businesses.
