Nostalgia (Back in my day)
Something different, but "Greenday - Dookie" has turned 30 years old (29 an 8 months to be exact). They have released a big deluxe edition.

I still have no idea what show that is.

Was it one of thoSe shows dubbed into Afrikaans and played on TV1/TV2.

LOL, thinking about it SABC (or whatever it was called before) really went next level with creativity naming the TV channels. [emoji23]

This was my first console, had Combat, I think that came with the console, Pac-Man, Breakout, Donkey Kong, Space Invaders, Frogger, Pitfall, Tennis, Asteroids and I clocked the infamous ET game several times and never knew it is one of the ****test games ever.

My dad bought this in 83 I think it was.

I remember we had Ms PacMan, Space Invaders, Breakout, and River Raid. The neighbours had some others like Asteroids and Battle Tanks.

Whats weird though is that how I remember them, they looked quite good. Then last year I setup a Picade (Retro games emulator on Raspberry Pi) and the games looked pretty crap. Man, how the mind messes with your memories [emoji1787]

I never knew anyone with an Atari, first proper console I'd ever seen and gamed on was an Intellivision. First opportunity I had to persuade my folks to buy me a console was when those Famicom clones hit SA.

I skipped the Famicom era, I was in the finishing school / Varsity stage of my life, I only played games in arcades.

We had an Intellivision, ZX Spectrum, Commodore Vic 20 and a Commodore 64.

I don’t really remember the order properly.

@Tag11 do you remember?

Was the Spectrum ours? I was pretty young at that point. I remember the Commodore systems pretty well.
