Watched Apocalypse Now for the first time. It’s one on my shame list that I needed to get off.

Wow, they don’t make them like that anymore. Sheen is brilliant, madness and mayhem with this eerie demeanor. Just fantastic. The use of shadows and subtleness in lots of the shots is sublime. No handholding either in the script.

I was amazed at how much like Emilio Estevez he looks at that age and then every now and again; Charlie Sheen turns up!

The Crow - Whoever did the character/costume design needs to not be in movies anymore, characters looked like they were the dream of some angst 14 year old emo kid. Awful design and the overall movie was average.

I presume you're talking about the new 2024 release?

Furiosa

Went into this not expecting much.
but ..DAMN. Movie is GOOD. Thought the actors killed their roles. Chris Hemsworth was fantastic.
Highly recommended. Rate it higher than Charlize's outing.

Subservience - ended up being better than I expected it to be, just wish they went for a darker ending than the safe route. If they took some chances with this it could have been a much better movie.

Longlegs (2024)

Longlegs is a refreshing change to the modern style of horror movies. There are almost no gore, jump scares or over-the-top special effects. Nicolas Cage shines as Longlegs. The main actress (Maika Monroe) creepily portrays a strange FBI agent. The cinematography is excellent. 7/10

Deadpool & Wolverine - enjoyed it, some great cameos of characters I didn't expect, gives me a bit of hope for their future appearances. Some good surprises which is what movies like this need to do.

Salems Lot - Boring and terrible vampires, why are people writing this type of drivel?

Till Death - Decent premise, had me wondering what the hell was going on for a couple minutes, ok for a watch.

Challengers - Guadagnino's stylishly shot treatise (as I interpret it) manages to make tennis look interesting, aided in no small part by a thumping Reznor/Atticus soundtrack.

Clooney and Pitt team up after a long hiatus. Great chemistry, decent story, enjoyable movie. 7/10 for me.

Enjoyed it. Thought they could have turned the pacing up a notch, but suppose thats what they were going for. Decent.
give it a 6/10.
Loses a point for triggering me .
WOLVES

Deadpool Wolverine
5/10
If I never see Deadpool or Wolverine again it will be just great.

Hellboy The Crooked Man - Extremely boring movie, the only plus to this was that one Witch lady who was just crazy, played the part well. Also Geoffrey went from bulter to priest.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice - Just seemed like a pointless movie and nothing much happened.

Thought this was going to be funny.

WTF was that? Mostly disgusting vulgar humour that fails to hit the funny. Even as a piss take it just landed dreadfully. Some of the comedians/actors probably have potential but this was a disgrace to even slap stick comedy. Which says a lot.

2/10

Th idea had so much potential.
