Movie 43

As bad as expected, as bad as they say... couldn't finish it, but my curiosity is such that I probably will one day.

1/10 so far. (Only because I did indeed laugh sometimes!)

One Battle After Another

Not sure why it's rated so high, it was a bit boring and I didn't care for any of the characters. Average 6/10 for me.

I seldom watch a movie and then think about it for several days in a row afterwards - and even seek out more info about characters, the story, and in this case the original book. I don't want to oversell it, but every single thing about it was great.

We went to see it yesterday, we really enjoyed it! Surprising amount of late 70s, early 80s movie references as well :)

The trailer gives way too much away though. Having not read the book, it would have been so much better if they had not revealed what he finds out there.

I think going forward I'm going to refrain from watching trailers as best I can. Maybe the opening moments of a trailer to get an idea of the film and then out.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie - bit boring, felt too long and a big chunk could have been cut from the movie, would have likely been more enjoyable. My son at least got a cool Mario themed Popcorn tin and cup.

War Machine - 7/10

To be fair it’s actually quite a good time if you are in a brain-at-the-door mood. Don’t ask too many questions and just chew some popcorn. Would watch a sequel.

Crime 101 - 7/10

Decent all rounder.

The we rewatched some oldies like Arrival and The Man from UNCLE.

Feel like some of Ritchie’s movies are under appreciated or maybe our tastes are just different.

Damn those were some good movies. Have not seen either of them in years

I'm going through my list of classics. I've either not watched or can't remember but really enjoying them. I am finding too often that games are become more cutscene / story heavy so I find these older movies more appealing.

We have been doing the entire MCU in chronological order.
Just watched Ant-Man, it's just so much FUN. Really enjoyed it.

In The Grey - Was pretty boring.

Mortal Kombat 2 - Didn't enjoy it, some great throwbacks to the game and some of the set pieces looks fantastic but as a movie it just felt off. Johnny Cage was miscast so badly as well, Carl Urban is great but not for this role.

Michael 7.5/10

An abrupt ending. Would have been better if it went into stuff a bit further on in his life.

Jaafar absolute nailed the role and performance.

Supergirl - 7/10
I don't get the hate from some media outlets... its a solid, decent, but perhaps unremarkable super hero movie.

Toy Story 5 - 8.5/10
Nostalgia galore... decent story that improves substantially as you get closer to the end. A solid 4th sequel.
