Tonight I want to start watching Star Trek Discovery S4.
Know a lot of hate has been thrown it's way, but I quite enjoy the Burnham ark/character.

Hope there is another actor/character introduced to do some of the lifting.
The empress (Michelle Yeoh) character was soo good in previous seasons.
There is no other character to do any lifting.

I have never seen a worse Star Trek. I literally LOL at some of the scenes, arc, or characters.
Terrible cast, annoying laughable characters, cheap scenes, cheap environments, worse story, even worse bad guys.

I gave up early season 3 when they went full "woke". And it isn't really the wokeness that bothered me, it was that wokeness was used to hide the poor stories and writing IMO, and it is not what Star Trek is about.

The older Star Treks were always about how race, religion, sexuality, gender, species, size, looks, language, etc never mattered, it embraced diversity as this is what the future should be about. The current Star Trek though has decided to ignore all of that and make race, religion, sexuality, gender, etc the crux of the majority of the stories. When you have characters (in the year 2255) who's main trait is "gay" and the issues surrounding being gay is his main plot in the series, its not the future of 2255 that they are portraying, but today in 2024. Chances are being gay, trans, and alien won't matter in 2255.

The irony is that writers have not only misunderstood what Star Trek is about, but have created such an unrealistic representation of both 2024 and 2255.

I agree it's not a good Star Trek show, but Star Trek itself has always been "woke". Star Trek was essentially Twilight Zone with a through line. Every planet explored had its own issue that highlighted present day concerns - race, religion, sexuality, gender, species, size, looks, language. Star Trek was about showing how an enlightened human race would view these issues:

Star Trek was an attempt to say that humanity will reach maturity and wisdom on the day that it begins not just to tolerate, but take a special delight in differences in ideas and differences in life forms.

Strike

Season 1 - 4

It's not a bad (private) detective show, but the female lead got a bit irritating in later episodes. Her mental issues came to light later which was never there before which didn't make sense. It's still worth a watch. 7/10

The Boys. Episode 3 of new season.

is ok i suppose. The gore, violence and depravity has lost much of its effectiveness., and is just a trope now.
Series peaked in previous season.

At least Homelander is as mental as ever.

Vikings Valhalla: Season 3

This was so much better than I expected. 9/10
Great season and nice end to the series, if it is.

Frieda beats Lagertha for me

House of the Dragon. Season 2 has been just ok, until episode 7.

WOW. Fantastic episode. Can't wait for season finale.

Absolutely loved it, brought me back to the days of BTAS
Was glad to see some B list villains get the spotlight hopefully season 2 has more as well as some C listers
Dent, Quenzel, & Flass where the standouts of the series
(9.5/10)

Breaking Bad

Season 1 - 5
It took me 10 years to complete this series, the SO found it too depressing in the first season). We started watching this series from the start again last month. It is a good story but Jesse is way too annoying. 8/10

I also really enjoyed this, like an alternate reality version of the original series. Really like how they flipped the first character mentioned in your spoiler.

Dark Matter

It's a sci-fi story with many holes and a very irritating "psychiatrist". If they would make a season 2 I doubt I would watch it. Entertaining enough though. 7/10
