Rings of Power. Season 1
Thought it was fantastic. Quite a few WOW moments for any LotR fans, including the homage paid to Shadows of Mordor video games, particular a scene in the village trying to escape from orks.
Was this shot in SA? Some actors looked familiar and local, not that it affected the production values. TOP NOTCH!!
Too any who watched it, the burning question, did our Commander of the Elven Armies sacrifice the Southlands for her pursuit of vengeance?
And that season finale. When it is revealed. Man. Goosebumps! Legend.
Bring on Season 2.

Ukraine was still a republic within the USSR so I would imagine they spoke Ukrainian and not Russian.
But yes I guess it could go either way at the time.

A short three-part crime series about the first case to use DNA. Captivating. 7.5/10
Witcher Season 3
As someone who played the W3, season 3 really is a nod to us gamers and fans. LOVED it. Yes it veers, but we can chalk that up to a 'for the viewers' thing.
Seeing all the characters we know in the series is great. Radovid, Djikstra, Fringella, Emperor Emir, Phillipa etc.

Season finale is good. Cyri is a right badass now.
Season 4 has it's work cut out for it, particularly without Cavill in it. I will watch though. Cast is more than just him.

True Detective Season 4 - 5/10
Started out with some promise. Really liked the atmosphere of the show (I'm a sucker for Arctic/Snow settings) and the initial mystery felt compelling. But it got significantly worse with every subsequent episode. The unravelling of the mystery was flat and made no sense, and all the callbacks to season 1 were useless. It definitely feels like it was meant to be another show and then had the TD label slapped on it afterwards.

That's disappointing to hear. I was waiting on all episodes before starting it.

Same. Anything with Jodie Foster usually, automatically, goes into 'will be good' slot in my head.
