Replaced my S3 Sedan with a Dad car. Thoroughly enjoyed my S3 and I'm sad to see it go, but the extra space in the new car is needed. Boot's almost twice the size of my S3's.

It's a 2018 Audi SQ5 3.0T. Still under maintenance plan for another year and 30k km. The interior is a sufficient upgrade from my S3 too. Using my work trip as a gauge, the SQ5 returned similar economy for my work round-trip. It's thirstier on shorter trips, though.

Tiny motherboard. I hope it doesn't pack up within a week. Are you going to be using a compact case for this setup? What wil you be using this machine for?

Third generation Core i uses LGA 1155, though. How did you get it to work on a board with socket LGA 1700?
 
Bought all new parts for a new pc, barring Mouse, Keyboard and monitor.

Will post pics once delivered. Stocked to be building a new pc again.

Yeah - it's ITX. Well, the mounting holes are just the normal 4 ones used for ITX although the board is a tad oversized on the PCI-Express slot side so they sell it as mATX.

So far it is running maxed out, initially with a i5-3450 and currently with a i7-3770 - no issues at all.

I use World Community Grid for stress testing, you can keep an eye on it here, what is pretty cool to see is how this board out performs the FX-8300 I had before it. Far lower power draw and it gets on average 6500 points per day VS that FX at a nudge under 5000.

This is not the first "new" old board I bought from China, I have had a 4th gen and a socket 2011 Xeon board - both performed similarly well. They have fairly up to date AMI BIOS with all settings exposed, the only thing "old" on the board will be the ICH which was harvested from e-waste and then plopped onto a brand-new board by their motherboard manufacturers in China.

I have been on the verge of picking up an OEM key for MS Office from Carbonite for a while. I have been using Libre Office when I need to finish work at home, but find that I work more fluently in Office [right-click to insert hyperlink, for example] Also wouldn't end up with any formatting inconsistencies.
 
New reading material, almost done with the Berserk Deluxe editions, got 2 more to go and a new deluxe edition series starts.

Xmas gifts for kids arrived last week, so that’s one thing to check off the list. Now just need to figure out something for the wife and then I’m ready to enjoy the holidays.
