I think I may have killed my Ryzen 7 5700G APU. A few weeks ago it would start to randomly reboot, maybe once every second day. I replaced the power supply and re-installed Windows - no change. I had plans to try out a Optiplex 7020 micro as my daily driver making it the first time I use intel in more than two decades. The little Dell is awesome - plays Xonotic at 1440p with no issues.

I had a Ryzen 3 2200G on a Asus A320 board that has been running Debian 12 with no down time for nearly a month so I put the 5700G in it and I think it is randomly rebooting now. Will keep an eye on it to be sure. Never overclocked it, but it did run flat-out in the winters on BOINC to heat up the office a little.

My new very much non-RGB komper:

I'll keep it maxed out and see if it reboots.

That i5 Dell I has was OK for normal work, but let me down under demand. Even after importing a copper cooler for it the iGPU would still thermal throttle. Back to team red I go.

This thing can play Xonotic at 4K 120FPS - and runs my VMs with ease. The stock DDR5-5600 is CL46 so I plan to upgrade to CL40 64GB in future.

I still have a bee in my bonnet about replacing my Corsair 600T with a smaller case that fits my room better. Keep circling back to that-and maybe getting a WASD keypad to make gaming easier for Mr Sinister

Nice - I see some familiar faces in your tower of power.

My latest build, put in low offers of Yaga and got a A520 motherboard and Ryzen 3 4100 CPU. Would have preferred an APU but the seller did not accept R1000 on R3 4300G.

Being an A series board means no multiplier overclocking, but at stock voltage I manage to push the base clock (old school FSB) up by 5MHz nudging the x38 CPU clock to just over 4GHz. Surprisingly for a "non overclock" board there is voltage adjustments so I can probably go higher. Will see if I can source a cheap APU on Aliexpress.

I have a measly i5 9700 12th gen, 32gig DDR4, RTX 4070 Super, to many NVME's and SSD's, Dell 3440x1440 ultrawide monitor with Roccat keyboard and mouse. Crappy Razor headset. PS5 Pro inbetween doing nothing as it for sale. Hi Sense 4K TV and my basic racing rig with MOZA products.
