The time is nigh! Time to build up that immunity!

I love it. Walking through the malls hearing the classics. I know it’s cheesy but it makes me feel festive.

Same, takes you back in time where you can still see PS1 games in display in Reggies or even a CNA. Even checkers had a games counter those days with Sega Mega Drive Rugby 95 being shown off.

Oddly enough, Xmas time in SA reminds me of sun, swimming and the Doom smell as my dad would spray the whole house with 😜😜

Ja, definitely not odd, that is what it was for us saffers.

Christmas for me was the whole extended family coming down to CT, braai, swimming, gammon, eggnog and Christmas pudding.

I had a 1980s childhood. We lived in proper dorpies, so we would make the trip to East London in December and spend the holidays with my maternal grandmother. Home-made fruit cake and Callard and Bowser ftw!

My sister sometimes flies to South Africa for a short holiday in December. She pointed out how odd it is that South Africans have depictions of snow at his time of year.

Ja, it's funny, all the iconography is northern hemisphere based but we never questioned it growing up. Interesting being in Europe now to experience Christmas as we saw it on TV.
