LORDS of the FALLEN

So much Soul Reaver vibes, I am getting this game for that alone. Hopefully somehow I can customize my character to look like Raziel

Now that’s an entire series that can get a remaster collection or even a full reboot.

Blood Omen II remains my favourite.

Fresh from the fun polished Lies of P, Lords of The Fallen is hitting all the right notes, and some I forgot I was missing

An unforgiving 1st boss that almost had me smash controller and quit the game completely, until the lesson was understood.
I was missing a beautiful dark depressing world, a map system that is near useless, requiring you to explore, get lost in, switch realms, open and discover shortcuts. NPC's and missable mini quests/gear unless you find, or stumble on something. A singular use overwritable 'seedling' checkpoint system that i hate and love simultaneously.

An alternative realm, that is a seamless switch to, or peer into, that gets more difficult and enemy dense the longer you spend in it, with a unique take on health system where dealing damage is only way to get actual health, all while the eyeball counter is front of mind, which makes for tense exploration, searching for an exit shrine/vestige before the inevitable.
BOSSES that are frustrating, yet FUN to fight. No quick kills. The dance of timing, dodge, strike. stamina management is imperative. A dance that was a necessary hard learned lesson from the 1st boss.

That lesson could literally be called 'Git Gud'

Think I might just give this a go now as well

It is really good. Recommended for any Souls fan.

Right now I am so lost though, wondering in swamps, caverns and purgatory. Don't think I could be more lost if my character was blind :ROFLMAO:

Judge Cleric is such a great boss fight. Among the best I have ever encountered. No nonsense, no cheesey cheap stuff. A test of player ability and patience.

In between going elsewhere and hopping back to this Vestige point to try after a change up, I must be close to 100 attempts. Last few were so close.

This pretty lady will wreck you. And if she doesn't, good luck with here dark half. Malenia from Elden Ring is not in the same tier. Seriously.

Unpopular Opinion: LoTF is a better souls game than any Souls game.
RUNS

Credits rolled. Got the Radiant ending. Messed up at least 3 npc quests that I know of.
That last area: Bramis Castle was tough to get through till I did, then it wasn't anymore. Common theme in the game. So difficult and challenging, until you've done it.
Missing half the lore as well. Can't do NG+ so soon though. Next year, new build and class for NG+.

Great Game.
