Nostalgia (Back in my day)
I made a movie with some friends for high school drama class in which we pretended to be their neighbours, spying on Kelly. I used two VCRs to splice scenes from various episodes to fit in with the footage we shot. I was really pleased with it, my drama teacher not so much. She confiscated the video and failed us,.

I found out later that she took it to share with her colleagues at Radio Good Hope and they thought is was hilarious. She never liked me that one. In fairness to her, the general plot was "Friday" inspired, including the accoutrement that suggests, which was perhaps not the wisest choice on my part.
This sounds very much like the school play parody we did called "Saving Ryan's Privates" just barely skirting the line of what would get us thrown out of school and what would qualify as humour.

You can laugh it it now though :D

Was that the one where the volume knob is actually digital? Like it "clicks" when you turn it to one side and then the counter runs up.
Not idea, but I remember the ones you are talking of. My GF at the time had an older brother who had an Aiwa and it "clicked"

The only thing that bothered me about it at the time was that she refused to give the tape back. I'd love to see that video and those old friends again.

After the purchase of the house earlier this year, I was sorting out the boxes we brought with and packing the garage. Found 3 VHS tapes from my teens.

One said "Ian's 18th Party" and the other "Friday Night December 1994". I forget the 3rd.

I have nothing to play them though. Probably be very cringe if I think about it. Sad thing is that I remember some parts of the "Friday Night December 1994". There were about 12 of us. I am only still in contact with 1 of them.

Did the yo-yo people come to your school?
Oh yea, sure - and you'd get those sheets of tricks. Everyone could walk the dog and around the world, but could you rock the baby?

EDIT: Oh ja, and there was the gold yo-yo to win!

Today's kids... Heck I'm almost 30 and have no idea what I'm looking at.
Technics is Panasonic's audio brand. What you have there is a series of components that, outside of the speakers they're attached to, make up a high fidelity stereo system - a "Hi-Fi" if you will. From bottom to top we have the CD player, tape deck, tuner, equaliser, integrated amplifier and turntable. You are welcome young man.
