I'm currently really enjoying season 2 of "The Bear". We got a real kick out of the episode we watched last night as it was shot around our neighbourhood.

"The Righteous Gemstones" season 3 is also a good time, we enjoy that show.

Earlier in the year, "Shrinking" was also really good.

About to start The Bear so looking forward to it.

Loved Shrinking.

Much like Ted Lasso it just ticked every box as it went along from a show I wouldn’t have watched conventionally.

Finished Hijack last week.

Solid British style mini series that gets the job done in a few episodes and doesn’t stretch it all to death.

Idris is great as always.

Well that was me watching the entire first season of The Bear in one sitting.

One of those shows both equally annoying and brilliant at the same time in its visceral nature, very reminiscent of Breaking Bad in many ways somewhat crossing over to The Wire in some ways.

Guess I’ll start S2 tomorrow then, just hope it’s not the typical American show that doesn’t know when to stop.

Some amazing single take performances in here.

Season 2 changes tack, less tension (with the exclusion of the Christmas episode), more focus on character, as the kitchen antics are swapped out for the process of putting a new restaurant together.

The Bear

Season 1: It took 4 episodes to get into. The second last episode was an assault on the senses and the final episode was boring as hell. Don't believe the hype. 6/10

Foundation Season 1- Complete
Foundation Season 2 Epi 1 -4
Brilliant.

Ahsoka
Epi 1 & 2
By the end of epi 2 I literally LOL at how 'one for the girls' this show is. Not something that has me stoked for the next episode.

Ok so it was not just me who struggled with that angle in Ahsoka. Can we go back to the days of tv where we could offend anyone and everyone and people didn't throw a hissy fit

The bad guys in Ahsoka are very good though and are fun to watch. Baelin and his Padawaan are bad ass.

Foundation.
Caught up current - Season 2. Episode 8

Think this series is just too damn good but too 'short'. I need more.

The Crowded Room

An excellent performance by Tom Holland. It's a pity the first few episodes were boring and unnecessarily drawn out. There was no reason for including the child of the psychiatrist in the story. 7/10

Really enjoying Foundation S2 as well. Its miles better than season 1. Hope it continues to improve and looking forward to seeing that character in S3 that everyone is worried about at the moment

We stopped watching Foundation half way through S2. I had high hopes but we just didn't find it all that entertaining. It's nothing like the books and generally i'm okay with that. With this though I don't feel like they have the intent of the books in mind. Lee Pace is great in it though.

Started watching Ahsoka, it's entertaining enough to watch while winding down. No thoughts required just enjoy a bit of the SW universe. Starting to root for the bad guys though lol.

One Piece live action on Netflix. This one has taken me by surprise. It's quirky, the lead actor is a bit iffy, the characters are often just bananas but somehow it all turns into a pretty entertaining affair. I also get live commentary about how it really happened in the Manga and Anime. Good time spent with my daughter and i'm actually enjoying the show.

My wife and I don't normally watch reality TV, but we decided to give Jury Duty a try and are really enjoying it. What makes the difference is that the actors don't break character, it plays out like a Parks and Rec or The Office style mockumentary, eschewing the confessional segments of a reality TV show.

I watched the 1st lengthy episode of animated BAD BATCH (Star Wars) on Disney Plus.

Find it more entertaining than Ahsoka

Loki

An ok story made boring, with impressive and bad sets, and good and terrible special effects. The top actors couldn't save this mess that seems like it was written by cokeheads for teenagers. 6/10
