Depending on the game, I get both. I don't buy many physical games. But I do prefer physical; I like to actually own some games.

Sometimes there are nice bonuses like getting a steel case with Silent Hill 2, and the cover was reversible so you can change the cover to look like the OG PS2 cover. I like these fun things. Nothing too special about the Death Stranding 2 cover except for Loe being on the inside when you take the disc out.

But yeah, I have Death Stranding 1 physical, so I thought I would get Death Stranding 2 physical. The only thing that sucked was that the game didn't arrive on release day.

I’m probably also going to get Silent Hill F physical. So regions are getting a steel case with that too. I’m hoping that the case with South Africa.

There was nothing worse than pre-ordering a game then it does not get delivered on release day.

All your friends who did not pre-order played the game before you as they bought it in the shops.

With Game Pass it is a no-brainer to go all digital.
 
Don't see any point to buying a digital copy when I can get the physical copy for 10-25% cheaper on launch so always makes sense to just go with the physical copy. I also don't do any subscription based stuff so unless the game is a digital only title I'll always be buying physical since it's much cheaper.

As well as used physical copies you can get for the cheap.

I myself went all to digital back in early days of XB1. I think the last physical game I bought might have been Far Cry 4.
