All in all, ja. The first time only our birth certificates came through and they said they couldn't find our marriage certificate. Just before we left for our SA holiday (end December) we gave power of attorney to a lawyer in CT to handle it for us, and he came through.

Although who knows when he actually secured it, we only found out today because my Mom asked me this morning so we queried Deloitte - they've been terrible at getting back to us. Same thing with our birth certificates.

There's no rush anymore so it's not a problem, but still...

Yip, for the move to the Netherlands.

The move has taken a backseat, if we move at all now. My wife got notice at the end of last year that her application for Danish citizenship came through, which we weren't expecting until 2025, and had decided to let go in favour of the Dutch position.

Now that it's imminent, we're staying put until it comes through. From there, we'll see. My wife has been working the job for a year now and it's been working out quite well from Copenhagen. The job requires her to travel a lot anyway, so whether she's based here or there hasn't made much of an impact, with a lot of her colleagues traveling to Copenhagen pretty regularly anyway (since the parent company is based here).

The other concern is our apartment, as it's technically still on the market. We've paused the sale, but the realtor still has three months operating time left on their contract, if we pull out they get full commission. I'm thinking we push the price up to an optimistic level. If it doesn't sell, no worries, if it does, that opens up some interesting options.
