Starfield - Bethesda Softworks

Yea I'm quite keen, even pre-ordered which I just about never do. Only other game I've pre-ordered was Cyberpunk 2077 so I'm hoping this is just as good as that, as that was fantastic.
 
So what's the overwhelming feeling, does it look like Starfield is going to flop/disaster release or will Bethesda finally launch a finished game ?

I think right now it's looking very positive.

After RedFall i'm sure they went all in to make sure that the run up is smooth and hopefully it launches and impresses. The DF guys said the engine upgrade is excellent.

The amount of marketing sped is insane as well. If this turns out to be a flop i'm sure they'll still get massive pre-order and early sales.
 
It's a Beth Game. Even as a flop it will be an eventual success.
However all initial reports from people who have had extensive time with the game state it's gonna be a bolter...out of the gate.

My biggest question: Are there Legendary's? Weapons and Gear.
 
Got the premium edition Gamepass upgrade thingy for like R580.

Think it could be really good, all the leaks and pre-review impressions have been positive.
 
Its a long weekend here, but I ain't going to pay extra to play it early. Really considering getting a GeForce Now sub to play this and BG3

Considering it’s usurped Baldur’s Gate 3’s throne on Stream while being “free” on GamePass I reckon it’s definitely not sales flop.

Technically…we live in hope.

Lower than i was expecting for sure.

EDIT:

Looks like it's getting top scores as well, GamesRadar and GamingBolt both gave 100s.

So far high 80s on Metacritic.

I think we all have become tooo focused on review scores, its largely subjective, yes it helps avoid porkers, but different genres will appeal more to different folks, there are some average games as reviewed that I enjoy,

That's always been the case, but after years we probably have reviewers that we know we align with and listen to those more intently.

DF technical reviews however are not subjective, they just state what they find. I always enjoy their stuff.

All the other IGN reviews from different countries gave it high scores, this US guy is an outlier.

I am very tempted to buy the premium pack.
