We had one exactly like this when I was a kid. I sure hope it gets garaged. Ours rusted after 5 years and it was kept in a garage. No telling what the salty air of CFP will do to this survivor.
Somehow I suspect it has more issues than I do, and no amount of TLC is going to fix it
I suspect it's probably not a runner and just spare parts at this point.
Reminds me of when I saw an SLS AMG for like a 150K.
It was already rough around the edges, but once the dude started the engine, I nearly ran for hills.
That poor engine was screaming for someone to put it out of it's misery
I could feel my wallet melting just standing close to that car!
The Merc was stationary in that spot for a week (Bottelary Astron). I cycle past there daily. With the phrase "It's all yours" probably referring to all the troubles it comes with. Apart from timing chains and 5G-tronic valve solenoids I always thorught the W203 (and S203) to be pretty solid cars. However after two years of owning my mom's old C180K a friend of mine is running into all sorts of issues. This was a well kept car but age is taking it's toll.
He had just spent a lot of money getting the EIS and SAMs sorted - all running well for a week or so - then this yesterday:
The Audi is at my mechanic, I had to blow (pun intended) R5k on a blower motor for my Astra and saw the had that A4 parked outside for a client. I am pretty sure it is a well sorted car. That said - any old German car is looking for trouble in my books. I'll take another Frenchie any day
