Today it was back to Riebeek Valley, upped the challenge a bit by taking an older bike, 2012 Avalanche (proudly SA) weighing in at just under 16kg with entry level coil shock and a 36T granny at the back.

Now I see it too - pretty impressive and scary that AI has become so good.
I took one a bit further up the road that looks even more AI
Another a little closer but the framing of the tree still was too centred for me and the farm buildings in the left showed that I also wanted out of the shot.
The one thing that shows the natural progression of time with the movement is the position of the other riders; I find AI is not yet as accurate with moving scenes and the objects in them. Another thing that gives the initial photo and AI feel is the "Dynamic" colour enhancement that Google Photos applied to the photo afterwards. It gives the colours a more unreal feel than the natural tones of the scene.
Anyways - there is always social media to the rescue, you will see this spot at around 2h04 / 41.4km on this ride if you switch the map to satellite and zoom in.

This is the first time for me and it really changes the lifestyle. Gives you something to do everyday for free if you chose.
