Thanks for the tip, it didn't even cross my mind. Unfortunately it's fully booked on the Sunday and we already have a dinner reservation on the Saturday - but it looks like quite the experience!

Wife and youngest flew off to Melbourne to watch a theatre show. So I kinda get the place to myself, eldest is still here but teenagers are like ghosts.

We were supposed to go to a dinner party last night, but my wife was away for the past two weeks and wasn’t too keen on another social engagement after just getting back, so we cancelled.

Plan was to just spend quality time together, but then we went out for lunch and realised it was Pride!

City walking street was blocked off and there were parties everywhere, we got swept up in the vibe and were out until the wee hours - it was a blast!

Now off for a refreshing late morning swim…

Edit: Another unexpected surprise, bring your dog day at Tivoli (local theme park). Wife broke herself watching all the cute dogs on (literal) parade.

Last minute plans but I am going to see Deadpool in iMax tonight. My brother spent yesterday redoing my network. It is much faster now and looks so much neater!

The in-laws are visiting from the Eastern Cape so decided to go Punting in Cambridge yesterday, it's similar to the gondolas in Venice except that you have students earning a bit of pocket money doing the tours. Today's outing was to Greenwich Park to go the Royal Observatory where you get to stand on the date time line, and also a trip to the Planetarium which was interesting.

The fun fare comes to town from Friday but we're leaving for Edinburgh early Saturday morning via train, going to the castle and then back on the following Monday again.
