Weekend Plans and Events

Going camping in Cornwall this weekend. Got Friday and Monday off, last weekend before my son gets back to school so he can make the most of it.

Anyway, as mentioned last week, this weekend we planned a trip to Edinburgh. Went on LNER (Train) First Class which included drinks, food, reserved seats and the first class lounge. Family of 5 travelling was £920 but worth it (ask the f*ckers who had to stand between Edinburgh and Newcastle).

Did the castle, climbed up the Scot Monument but it was actually nice to meet people who initiated small talk.

My wife has a colleague coming through from the Netherlands this week, her boyfriend is joining her on Friday and so we're going to take them around Copenhagen Friday night and finish with a nightcap at out place.

Saturday is a friend's 50th,150 guests, starts at 12:00 and continues into the next morning and I've signed up to give a speech - going to have to pace myself.

Sunday is my least favourite. Once a year the building gets together on a weekend to do odd jobs around the property. I skip Saturday due to the aforementioned party but Sunday it's my turn to join in the fun.
 
Off to Santa Ponsa, Majorca for the weekend to see my folks, they're down there to celebrate a family friend's 80th. It's going to be a bit weird, kids I grew up knowing are going to be there as fellow 40 something adults - I was 19 the last time I spoke to any of them.
 
Busy weekend this time for me:

Youngest has a school river cruise \ dance this evening, so i'm taking my wife out to some fancy Italian spot in the city to wait it out.
Tomorrow is me eldest's birthday and she has wisely chosen indoor go-karting, those electric karts are pretty awesome.
Sunday going to meetup with family for other birthdays and do a lunch somewhere nice.

At some point i think i'm going to go pickup Astro Bot as well, i buy 1 game on launch maybe every 2 years and i think this will be the one this time around.
 
Not doing much this weekend. Worked hard this past week, tired!

Want to get some more hours into System Shock. Also would like to do spend a few hours of course work tomorrow.
 
Start Lost Ruins on switch and chill.

Wife went to Amsterdam to visit her nephew so me and my son will chill for the weekend. Taking him to Jump Inc today to get rid of that energy then might destroy him in whatever game he chooses to show I'm the final boss in the house 😄
 
Wife's mom arrived here yesterday so I'm sure we will visit a few Cotswold villages and markets. We are definitely going to Bicester Village though so might get some of my shopping on :p get some new Barbour jumpers for the winter.

Maybe go to a pub for a Sunday roast or do one at home if we feeling lazy.
